McCleskey Middle School-Marietta, GA
While working at McCleskey, I taught four sections of Language Arts. Throughout this experience, I collaborated with three teammates. I maintained communication with the administrators, and collaborate with my co-teacher and media specialist. I communicated with parents and students by using Edmodo, email, and in face-to-face conferences. In addition to this, I served on the hospitality committee, was the PR Chair for the Teach Like a Champion book club, served as co-sponsor of GLAM (Girl Leaders at McCleskey), and took professional development opportunities provided by the school district to stay up to date with new trends in education.

At East Cobb Middle School, I was responsible for teaching four sections of world social studies to four sections of seventh grade students. I maintained regular contact with administrators, parents, a co-teacher, and team members by using a blog, email, and in person meetings. I maintained relationships with the students by teaching character development once a month, using thinking maps, and planning cooperative learning activities. In addition to these responsibilities, I helped supervise students overnight during inclement weather conditions, tutored students before the CRCT, and helped sponsor the talent show.

Lindley Sixth Grade Academy at the Barnes Center- Mableton, GA
At Lindley Sixth Grade Academy, I taught on level sixth grade social studies for three weeks while the teacher was out due to an injury. I was responsible for developing lesson plans, attending staff meetings, taking data on assessments and using it to improve instruction, and working with students that have emotional and behavior disorders. During this experience, I taught four classes with approximately 120 students.
